Austin Butler, renowned for his portrayal of Elvis Presley, has now taken on a new role as the face of YSL Beauty. The prestigious luxury brand has unveiled him as their newest brand ambassador.
Hollywood luminary Austin Butler has taken up the esteemed position of YSL Beauty’s newest brand ambassador, a revelation he recently shared on his social media platforms.
Austin Butler, acclaimed for his portrayal of Elvis Presley in the 2022 biopic “Elvis,” for which he earned accolades like a Golden Globe and BAFTA, has joined forces with the L’Oréal-owned beauty powerhouse, YSL Beauty. He is set to spearhead their campaign for the globally launched refillable fragrance named Myslf, scheduled to hit the market on Thursday (10th August 2023).
Expressing his excitement on Instagram, Austin Butler said, “I am honoured to be named the global ambassador of Myslf, the new statement fragrance by YSL Beauty.”
Describing the fragrance, which arrives in an eco-friendly, stylish bottle, YSL Beauty stated, “Myslf is the expression of the man you are, with all of your emotions and nuances. A fusion of the classic woody fragrance family with floral notes. A declaration of modern masculinity to embrace your authentic self.”
The dapper actor, who favors tailored suits, reminisced about his past where he used to adopt a spiked hairdo to align with the skater crowd. He recounted, “I used to spike my hair completely on every end, so it was just the entire head was spiked. Because I hung out with all these skater kids, and I wanted to be just like them.”
As times have evolved, Austin Butler has seamlessly transitioned into a refined appearance, often gracing prestigious events in his dashing ensembles.
Catherine Martin, costume and production designer, who is married to “Elvis” director Baz Luhrmann, shared insights about collaborating with the 31-year-old actor on set. Given that Austin Butler had around 100 costume changes, including recreations of Elvis Presley’s iconic jumpsuits designed by the late Bill Belew, Catherine hailed him as a collaborative gem. She praised his dedication and amiable nature, referring to him as the “fitting room GOAT” (Greatest Of All Time), recalling how he patiently engaged in numerous fittings for diverse outfits, exhibiting exceptional collaboration skills and professionalism.
