OMG 2, the movie starring Akshay Kumar, gains the backing of Sadhguru, who voices his opposition to the ‘Adults Only’ certification, suggesting that it should encompass adolescents as well.

Following his viewing of the ‘OMG 2’ trailer, Sadhguru has commended the Akshay Kumar-led film and emphasized the importance of educating young individuals.

Sadhguru has recently expressed his standpoint on ‘OMG 2’, starring Akshay Kumar, and his disapproval of the movie receiving an ‘A’ (Adults Only) certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). This stance comes shortly after the Bollywood actor organized an exclusive screening of his forthcoming film at the Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore.

Appreciating the film’s content, Sadhguru emphasized the significance of enlightening young minds about managing their physical needs. In a tweet following his viewing, Sadhguru advocated for the inclusion of adolescents, specifically individuals aged between 10 and 19, in the audience. He asserted that educating them about comprehending human biology and addressing biological necessities in a respectful and accountable manner is crucial for building a fair and equitable society.

Sadhguru expressed, “In this case, the ‘A’ certificate should encompass adolescents. This demographic is particularly pertinent. Imparting knowledge about understanding human biology and dealing responsibly with an individual’s physiological requirements is essential to cultivate a nation that upholds fairness and justice for all parties involved. -Sg #OMG2.”

In response to the tweet, Akshay Kumar has also expressed his gratitude towards Sadhguru and wrote, “Thank you so much @SadhguruJV. Hope the message reaches far and wide, in the right spirit.”

For context, the directorial work of Amit Rai, ‘OMG 2’, received an ‘A – Adults Only’ certification from the CBFC and was directed to make 27 modifications before its release. A primary point of contention regarding the satirical comedy-drama was the portrayal of Lord Shiva, initially depicted by Akshay Kumar. However, the character has been reframed as a devotee and messenger of God in the revised version. Notably, this marks Akshay Kumar’s first film in over a decade to obtain an adults-only rating.

Set to release on August 11, ‘OMG 2’ features a cast including Yami Gautam, Pankaj Tripathi, and Arun Govil of “Ramayan” fame. This film serves as the sequel to the 2012 hit ‘OMG- Oh My God!’.
